Amanda Lorraine Christensen
July 6, 1973 – July 1, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amanda (Mandy) Lorraine Christensen. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 1, 2016, at the Red Deer Hospice. Amanda was born in Calgary on July 6, 1973. She moved out intto the Arbutus area when she was four years old. She attended school in Rocky and enjoyed music, animals, and horseback riding. She attended Red Deer College and it was in Red Deer where she met her husband Patrick Christensen. They have lived i in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Fort St. John and back to Rocky near Dovercourt where they raised seven children. Amanda loved life on the acreage. She loved her animals and spending time outdoors. Amanda loved her children and being a mother with all her heart. She loved spending time with her friends and family. We all loved her and will miss her so very much. Amanda is survived by her daughters Angelica (21) and sweet little Julia (2), her sons Ivan (17), Nicholas (15), Johnathan (12), Jeremy (10) and David (6), her parents Jack and Kathy Evans, her father Ron Hanson, her brothers Leif (Janice), Kevin (Shyanne) Luke and James, her sisters Crystal (Clayton), J’aime, and Melanie (Jeremy). Amanda was predeceased by her husband P Patrick Christensen and her brother Sean. Thank you so much to the countless people who have helped out over the last few years. Your help will never be forgotten and your love is everlasting. A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held at the Dovercourt Hall on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 1 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Christensen Children’s Trust Fund at any TD Bank.
